Hideyuki Shima, CEO of SMP&A, Gives Workshop at Northern Game Summit

From September 23 to 25, 2026, Hideyuki Shima was invited as a guest speaker at Northern Game Summit in Kajaani, Finland.

As part of the event, Shima gave a workshop on composition and string orchestration, focusing on how to develop a string arrangement from a basic chord progression. The workshop included live demonstrations of the composition and arranging process.

Despite the early morning time slot, the workshop was well attended, with many questions and discussions throughout the session. It provided an opportunity to share practical approaches to composition and orchestration while exchanging ideas with participants from the game and music industries.

During the three-day event, Shima also met with many people from different backgrounds and had the opportunity to develop new connections and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
