SMP&A Announces Debut Release: “Polaris” by Kenji Nojima with Hideyuki Shima — Out June 5th on Bandcamp

Shima Music Production & Agency Oy (SMP&A) is proud to announce the debut release of “Polaris,” the first single by the collaborative project Kenji Nojima with Hideyuki Shima, available on Bandcamp from June 5th, 2026.

The project brings together Kenji Nojima — known for his roles as Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon, Nobuchika Ginoza in Psycho-Pass, Eiji Okumura in Banana Fish, Natsuya Kirishima in Free!, and Albedo in Genshin Impact — and Hideyuki Shima, composer, music producer and representative of SMP&A, based in Vantaa, Finland. Produced remotely between Tokyo and Helsinki, “Polaris” is a soundscape that bridges the quiet beauty of Finland’s natural landscapes with the energy of Tokyo’s nightscape — a musical expression of the bond between Finland and Japan.

Nojima contributed lyrics and jacket artwork to the release, extending his creative voice beyond his acclaimed career as a voice actor. The kantele, a Finnish folk instrument, is performed by Shima and features prominently in the arrangement.

The release includes a karaoke version, a special booklet (available in Japanese and English), and high-resolution jacket artwork designed by Nojima.
